Barcelona is knee-deep in what can only be described as a summer of fun at current, with the Catalan giants facing difficult decisions as they tackle some hard questions on and off the pitch.
The club is in difficult financial constraints and the need to shift a large number of players off the books if they are to continue to retool under Dutch headmaster Ronald Koeman remains a priority.
Barcelona continue to keep Antoine Griezmann in the shop window
Despite his status as one of the most recognized faces in European football, Antoine Griezmann is hardly viewed as a necessary part of Barcelona’s future in the wake of the club’s need to fix its financial situation in rapid order.
Antoine Griezmann has now been offered to four clubs, including Tottenham and Manchester City, but the player is only considering Atlético Madrid – should he leave Barcelona at all, according to L’Ãquipe. https://t.co/kSWS9b0dFc

As reported by Sports Illustrated, the French international and former Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad standout has been offered by the Catalan giants to a handful of big clubs across Europe, including Premier League outfits Manchester City and Tottenham.
However, according to Get French Football, Griezmann will only consider a return to La Liga rivals Atléti if he does end up heading for the exit door at the Camp Nou. It remains unclear if Barca will be able to shift the player given his wages and his desire to not leave Spain, which could prove a major stumbling block in their summer plans.
Nine players up for sale as financial needs grow
Sky Sports are reporting that Barcelona has put up to nine players up for sale this summer as their need to get a handle on the club’s financial situation grows.
Antoine Griezmann, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele are on a list of at least nine players Barcelona would be willing to part with this summer.

Apart from the continued speculation surrounding the future of Antoine Griezmann, the Catalan club has now also made the decision to put the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembélé, and Martin Braithwaite are all on the chopping block this summer.
Others have joined them as well, including Clement Lenglet, Neto, Emerson, and Moussa Wague.
The club has also entered into discussions to try to convince Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Sergi Roberto to be open to taking pay cuts on their wage packets, while the club has not ruled out the sale of one of those assets either.
Donny Van de Beek not open to Barcelona switch
It has hardly been a period to remember for Donny Van de Beek at Old Trafford. The once highly touted Dutch international midfielder and Ajax academy graduate has had a torrid time trying to establish himself at Manchester United, and speculation continues to swirl regarding his future in the Premier League.

Despite a reported offer involving a switch to Barcelona, Van de Beek has shrugged off the opportunity to leave United and instead intends to continue to fight for his place in Ole Gunnar Sosjkær’s midfield.
But there are some, including former United keeper and Dutch icon Edwin van der Sar, that feel Van de Beek is better off moving on for the sake of the trajectory of his career.
âHe fitted perfectly into the Ajax system, but he doesnât fit at United. If you have the opportunity to go to a team that suits you better and itâs an attractive team, I would definitely go for that. If nobody leaves United, he will have to be lucky to get into the starting eleven. He is far too good to sit on the bench for two seasons. He needs minutes very quickly. Heâs still young, but time flies. A club like Borussia Dortmund would have been a better step for him. Manchester United is perhaps a step too high for him.â
Further interest in the Dutch midfielder is rumored to be hotting up as well, with recent interest from Italian giants Juventus being noted.
